Production Notes:
Filmed in Belgium from November 7 to December 5, 2005. A new edition of the book was released in conjunction with the telefilm.
Marc Uyttendaele was delighted by their choice of the lead role. "I find it rather flattering that they chose Vincent Perez."

"This is an intelligent telefilm, which avoids the stereotypes and contains characters with multiple facets."

"I think it was a good idea that I did not meet Marc Uyttendaele before shooting. He has such a personality that I would have simply done mimicry, which is not the best thing for an actor... Marc Uyttendaele has incredible energy. He's like an electric battery. This is someone who lives at a speed of 200 miles an hour. And he has incisive intelligence."
