From Hollywood Spy comes some news that December 27th has been announced as the release date of "Une Affaire d'Honneur" with the English title "The Edge of the Blade". When this film was being shot, it was under the title of "Maître D'Armes". Vincent has just finished another historical movie in a minor role.  The film is "Bolero", directed by Anne Fontaine, starring Raphael Personnaz as famous composer Maurice Ravel. The movie, set in the roaring 1920s, follows the boundary-pushing Russian dancer and choreographer Ida Rubinstein (Jeanne Balibar) as she selects Maurice Ravel to compose the music for her next ballet. Ravel ends up creating his greatest success ever: Boléro. Does anyone remember the 1979 romantic comedy that featured Boléro? This is the first movie still released.

Several photos have surfaced this week of Vincent's stepdaughter, Roxane Depardieu. She was spotted on the red carpet of the new Tim Burton exhibition in Paris on May 20. She appeared with singer Elia. It's been a long time since Roxane has been seen with a love interest. The last time she was photographed with ex-partner Chantelle Broomes was at the Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping event in 2018 so for five years, they have not been seen together. Her relationship with Elia began some time last year.

According to Variety magazine, Vincent has joined the cast of "Hot Milk," the adaptation of the bestselling novel by Deborah Levy. The female-driven UK film is being directed by Rebecca Lenkiewitz and will star Emma Mackey, Vicky Krieps and Fiona Shaw. The film will start shooting in July.

A brief summary of the story follows - Rose (Shaw) and her daughter Sofia (Mackey) travel to the Spanish seaside town of Almería to consult with the shamanic Dr. Gomez (Perez), a physician who could possibly hold the cure to Rose’s mystery illness, which has left her bound to a wheelchair. But Sofia, who has been trapped by her mother’s illness all her life, finally starts to shed her inhibitions, enticed by the persuasive charms of enigmatic traveler Ingrid (Krieps). Sofia’s increased freedom becomes too much for her controlling mother, and their relationship simmers with pent-up resentments and bitterness, threatening to tear the fragile threads that hold them together, and leading them to a dramatic conclusion.

On March 21, Vincent was a guest for the evening screening of the short film, "Tornando a Casa" in Paris. The event was hosted by Borsalino, the oldest Italian company specializing in the manufacture of luxury hats. In the second photo, Vincent is shown with Italian actress Caterina Murino, who stars in the film. On the occasion of the international premiere screening of the short film, in the presence of dignitaries and celebrities, the Italian Embassy in Paris hosted a selection of hats from the Borsalino Museum collection.  Back in 2018, Vincent was in Alessandria, Italy, and took the time to visit the Borsalino factory. We know he has a special fondness for hats. In the third photo, taken in 2018, he is shown with Roberta Datola, who's been working for the company for over 25 years.

It just so happens that Vincent's younger sister Estrella is also a chapeau lover and is a creator of some beautiful women's hats. Very talented!

The 6th edition of Rencontres 7e Art, which began on Saturday in Lausanne and continued until March 12, welcomed French actress Léa Seydoux and British actor and director Jeremy Irons as guests of honor. This year the event revolves around the Montbenon Casino, but also includes the Pathé cinemas in the Vaud capital, the Lausanne cantonal art school (ECAL), the School of jazz and contemporary music (EJMA) and the Jan-Michalski Foundation of Montricher (VD).

Jeremy Irons kicked off the festivities during the opening ceremony. The multi-awarded actor presented several films in which he played: "The French Lieutenant's Mistress" (Karel Reisz, 1981), "The House of Spirits" (Bille August, 1993), "A Swann Love" (Volker Schlöndorff, 1984) and “The Man Who Defied Infinity” (Matthew Brown, 2015).

Léa Seydoux was present during the second weekend and for the closing ceremony. She presented “Grand Central” (Rebecca Zlotowski, 2013) and “L’enfant d’en Haut” (Ursula Meier, 2012). The actress participated in the first Rencontres du 7e Art in 2018. Other invited guests include Jean Dujardin, Valeria Bruni Tedeschi, Danièle Thompson, and Emmanuelle Devos.

The festival, created by Vincent, offers the opportunity to see or rewatch major films in the history of the 7th art on the big screen and to meet directors and actors. All without competition, just for the pleasure of cinema. Vincent explains, “We want to expand the circle of film buffs in Lausanne by presenting both heritage films and previews of films of festival guests."
