Vincent's daughter Iman has become Chanel's latest muse and is now the inspiration and the face of the house's Fall Winter 2023/24 collection. Chanel Creative Director Virginie Viard draws from Iman's multi-faceted cultural universe. Iman claims, "There's nothing more personal that the way you dress. I'm of Spanish, Senegalese, German and French origin and my style reflects that." Did you know that actress Salma Hayek told Iman - "Your last name is Perez and you look Mexican or Spanish: start learning Spanish now and find yourself an agent in Spain." |

On Vincent's Facebook this week he posted an interesting video of his sister Estrella making a hat in her home workshop in Switzerland. He wrote, "Proud of my sister, beautiful stylist, based in Vevey!" As mentioned previously in my March 23rd post this year, Vincent's sister is a milliner specializing in women's hats. In the photo below, Estrella models one of her creations. You can browse her beautiful hats on both Etsy and Facebook. |

The director of the Karlovy Vary Film Festival Karel Och introduced the film at its screening with praise -"You will see a charming combination of a very sophisticated period drama with a strong message to the modern world. The old and the new beautifully intertwined." Vincent was over the moon at finally revealing the film to an audience in the Grand Hall. "Showing the film to an audience is a powerful experience for me, and I have to admit my heart is pounding," he said. You can view photos from the festival at this link.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Vincent discussed his film, "Une Affaire d'Honneur" - "I didn’t want to do a feminist film. The idea was really a movie about a very specific time, which is fascinating. I think it’s also an entertaining film. It’s always been important for me to be able to have fun watching the film and feel things, like danger. And I feel that there’s some kind of catharsis at the end of the film. You feel that you went through all those fights, and something is released in you as an audience." Vincent also shared a tidbit about his next venture - "It’s too early, but I have a project that I’m working on with Jeremy Thomas, the wonderful British producer, and some other stuff. I love the process of writing. I love waking up and going straight into writing. That is really my favorite moment." |
